INFILTRATION OF NEW AGE TEACHINGS
Two transforming concepts have been introduced to Christians for sometime now – visualisation and automatic writing were accepted as satisfactory ways to hear from God.
Doors have been pushed ajar and spirits of the New Age have walked in.
It is clear that where the names of Jesus and God are proclaimed does not necessarily mean that we can, with confidence accept all as legitimate Christian activity. Jehovah Witnesses and Mormons use the names of Jesus Christ and God the Father in their prayers.
I recorded a conversation I had with an Anglican ministers’ wife who ministered in India for twenty-five years and she told me of a Hindu woman who had accepted Jesus as Saviour. Following her conversion evil spirits manifested themselves and during deliverance she requested the evil spirit to name itself and it said “I am Jesus”. Demons will overplay their hand as they seek to hide from discovery.
Today we see another deceptive strategy of Satan in Mesmerism, another New Age experience. Hypnosis is far more effective where there is a large gathering of people. It is a misunderstanding to believe that one must be in a sleeping state to receive hypnotic suggestion. Its effects are clearly observed in Rodney Howard Brown meetings – auto suggestion, hysteria and catalepsy.
Have you also been waiting for revival to occur? For many years (in Pentecostal churches) I prayed for revival.
Scripture does not appear to indicate that there will be worldwide revivals prior to the Rapture of the church. Rather – Scripture tells us there will be a falling away from the revealed truth of God’s Word and false teachers, false prophets and lying signs and wonders will be the characteristics of the last days
When we look at the passages of Scripture referring to end-times the greatest concern of Jesus and the Apostles was that Christians would be deceived. At this time it is very clear that churches around the world are in apostasy – a falling away from the truth of God’s Word.
The reasons provided to me to explain away the extraordinary activities taking place for the most part within churches holding to Pentecostal beliefs have been described as “the blessing of the Holy Spirit”. And have occurred because churches were dry and without joy. My response to the Pastor who provided me with this reason: “If people spent more time in the Word and in relationship with Jesus they would have known real joy.” He said, “I agree.” You see he knew the truth but was more concerned about attracting bums on seats with extra-biblical phenomena. People wanted to see – “things happening” and I believe this activity was provided by demons.
There is a truly demonic confusion existing in the minds of those who have embraced “the blessing. Several Christians I have known have repented from embracing these activities. The moment they asked God to forgive them – their eyes were opened and the blindfolds came down.
These wicked pastors have neglected their responsibilities to “feed their sheep” and to encourage their flock to study the Word of God in the home. They looked for a quick fix. Typical of the Pentecostal church! Since its inception they have looked for new experiences.
I explored the nature of Revivals for their varied effects as they have occurred over the last four centuries. The revivals of old were conducted in an atmosphere of great reverence and awe of God and those who trembled and prostrated themselves did so under deep conviction for their sinfulness. Pubs and clubs emptied and churches were filled with sinners clamouring to know the truth that they might be saved?
Then by contrast there were evidences of shaking and trembling, barking and witchcraft and such effects were found where there was a mix of voodoo and Christianity as in the “Revivals” of the North American Indian, documented in “Voices from the Past” and the Quakers and Shakers and these discoveries of mine will be attached for reference.
Evidences of extra-biblical phenomena have been present where evil and Satanic activity were present.
How sad it is to see men who once held their Bibles aloft declaring they lived by every word, water it down until it does not even hold the substance of mother’s milk. I do not believe they ever really knew their Word.
When I really started to study my Bible using well-prepared manuscripts from Ariel Ministries, I discovered that these same preachers and teachers had indeed been teaching terrible error – no wonder my Spirit was disturbed within my heart.
Unholy spirits:
I have proven we cannot grow spiritually by embracing extravagant religious experience. The spirit they have embraced is not the Holy Spirit of God they are unholy spirits which have moved in upon those who have moved the plumbline.
Where did it all begin for the Pentecostal movement?
It began with Charles Parham the father of Pentecostalism who wanted more and believed that the baptism in the Holy Spirit was not related just to the born-again experience when we are baptised into the Body of Christ uniting us with Him. He taught there should be continuous baptisms of the Holy Spirit.
There are those who say there are “fruits” from those who bark like dogs, shake, scream and lie for hours in a catatonic state. Sadly, I have not found these fruits. People who have been involved in these experiences seem even more bad tempered – if that were possible – lacking in patience and just plain different to the way I remembered them. Some have screamed abuse at me over my telephone, others have come to my home late at night to scream abuse in my home. Yet another rang my brother in Christ and advised him that God told him that He would burn down my friend’s home. I have been physically pushed and restrained from gaining access to my car and commanded to repent for my sin. They have come to my home to “bring me under their authority” and screamed at me in my own home. I have committed the unpardonable sin they said. What ignorance! I am a man-hater, a feminist and a Jezebel. When I say I believe in Dispensationalism as a way of interpreting the Word I may as well say I am a practising Satanist for they move quickly away from my presence.
I know I am far removed from being the way God would have me be. I can only overcome my lack through seeking the Lord with a repentant heart, prayer and studying the Bible. I know I have a long way to go in my Christian walk before I reflect my growth in the grace of God.
To all Church attendees who have named the name of Jesus I met with regularly, I say this:–
Please forgive me all you folks out there who may have been hurt by my comments. I grieved for you all, wept for you all and felt absolutely desperate for the way you all sought after an experiences I know belongs to the demonic realm.
May it be that God will provide me with an all-consuming desire, together with his strength and ability to speak out his life-transforming Word and impart the mercy and love of Jesus. His lost sheep will then know Him in me and with broken and contrite hearts come into the fold as He works by His Holy Spirit to will and to do.
The evil one is roaming this earth enticing others to come and join in a great spiritual delusion. God has certainly allowed this to happen. He is watching over all those who would seek to enter in and partake of its deceptive powers.
These days, we have a whole new language to decipher and somehow I can’t find it in my Bible. I thought I was familiar with the verbal trappings of Pentecostalism. There are deeper meanings now and hidden except to those who have been initiated.
The Holy Spirit of God is powerful, tender and sweet, encompassing us in God’s compassion and love. Where God’s word is preached in truth; where the name of Jesus is lifted higher in praises, prayer and preaching His power is ever present, healing, restoring and cleansing.
The stories of the Bible and of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus
Christ has come down to us through the centuries beautifying human life with
a halo of immortality, giving us by faith, a peace and confidence that because He lives, we too shall live. 31.
Our hearts should leap with joy knowing we are safe in Christ’s Body having accepted Him as our Lord and Saviour for we are In the Beloved of God and we will see Him and live with Him throughout eternity in His Heavenly Kingdom.
Death is merely an incidence in this life and in the Eternal Order, following the Millennial Kingdom, we ourselves will still beyoung long after the sun has grown cold and the heavens reordered by his hand.
Either meaning of the beautiful story of Jesus is true in its entirety or it is false, for in Him there is no deceit. The King of Kings deserves far better than shallow ineffectual preaching and extra biblical phenomena from his children.
By all the evidences of history, Christ is leading us on within His protective power down through the ages towards the endless end of timeless time. His work as our Mediator and His work of redemptive ministry will be complete when we meet with Him in glory.
What shall we say to him?
“Jesus, I wasn’t satisfied with the beautiful story of you and the promise of life eternal to me when I accepted you to be my Saviour. I knew that the Bible was written only that I might believe in you and love you and to understand your ways so that I could follow you. I know that my eternal destiny is within your hand and the acceptance of You and Your Word and that represents eternal glory or eternal ruin – heaven or hell. I just wanted to have another experience. The joy of knowing You Jesus as the dearest, sweetest thing in my life and within the very motivations of my heart wasn’t enough. It wasn’t enough to live for You I just wanted something more. The blessing you gave me when you made me part of your Kingdom was just insufficient. Somehow, for a time, I just seemed to forget, your word says:
“I am your grace and sufficiency.
